Ashesi University graduate and family business entrepreneur Davidson Eli-Zafoe has joined the Accra management team. Davidson’s background is in IT and marketing. Prior to joining Markets Speaking, Davidson worked at Ernst & Young in Accra.

The Mayor of Accra, Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije, raises the bar and claims that Accra has what it takes to become a Millenium City. The Millenium City Initiative  is the urban equivalient the Millenium Villages, both sharing the objective of assisting selected locations to achieve the Millenium Development Goals (MDGs). In cooperation, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and the Earth Institute at Columbia University aim to target important environmental and urban challenges. The initiative is directed by the renowned economist Jeffrey Sachs and publicly states that private sector involvement plays a vital role in achieving the MDG’s. Markets Speaking is inclined to agree.
